Ciceronian Society Day 3 - Updates

Good morning!

By today most attendees of our conference are a little tired. But it’s a “good tired.” It’s the kind you experience from scholarly work and thought, and from joyful participation in intellectual friendship.

After a day of breakout sessions, we conclude with two sessions we are very excited about. First, Paul Mueller will lead a roundtable on building places of intellectual community, which is a central goal of the Ciceronian Society.

We’ll then provide some exciting updates about the future of the Ciceronian Society and present both the Batchelder and Lawler Prizes.

And if you’re up for it, consider joining us for Morning Prayer at 8am EST in the Appalachian Ballroom.

Conference Feedback and…more drink tickets?

We want to hear from you about your experience at the Ciceronian Society Conference, and if you fill out the survey today before 8pm today, we’ll give you each an extra drink ticket good for Beer or Wine!

Paper copies of the survey will be at the registration desk, but you can also complete it online.

Throughout the event, there are two ways in which you can help the Ciceronian Society tell its story and give the “world” and our supporters a better sense of our personality.

Food

Coffee, water, and tea are available each day of the conference. There’s a daily limit to the coffee and tea, but alternatives are available in the hotel if needed.

What’s for lunch?

Today, lunch is 12:15 - 1:30 pm in the Appalachian Ballroom. We’ll enjoy a Taco Truck Buffet!

(yes…it has accidentally become a tradition for us to have tacos at every conference)

What’s for dinner?

Today, we’ll break for dinner from 6pm - 8pm and where you go is at your discretion. It is not catered.

In addition to dining at the hotel, Bella Luna, Cuban Burger, Rocketown Kitchen, Capital Alehouse, and Clementine Cafe are all within walking distance.

Please note that we have done our best to accommodate all dietary restrictions and allergies shared through the registration, and the hotel is aware of them.
