Good morning friends! The final day of the Ciceronian Society conference is upon us, and I am exhausted. But it's
a welcome exhaustion, because it's the kind of "tired" one feels after doing something rewarding and worthwhile. I'm immensely grateful for the many words of encouragement and for all the moments of teamwork, laughter, and reunion. Thank you! And be sure to join me in thanking the folks at the Hope Center for all their help and please thank our sponsors. I want to also let you know that we are planning a series of Sower podcast episodes focused on places; specifically, your
places. If you feel rooted in your local community, and would like to tell us about it and the its role in your life in a 20-30 minute podcast interview, please talk to Chris Anadale, pick up his business card from the back of the room, or email us at ciceroniansociety@gmail.com. Unlike last year, we will not be announcing the date and location of our next conference, but be sure you've signed up for our regular newsletter, where
we will share that information soon. We will, however, be announcing the annual winners of the Batchelder and Lawler awards at the end of the day. Be sure to join
us for this. As a reminder: 8:30am for morning prayer (we don't need to meet at 8am) Room Change! Session 10A on Cicero will be moved to room B and Session 10B on the Liberal Tradition will be moved to room A And here are some opportunities announced at the conference: - Ciceronian Conference with the Acton
Institute, October 25, 2024

of Conservative Studies
- Tonight, the Hospitality Suites must be emptied by 11pm. We'll have quite a bit of snacks, beverages, and even some free coolers! If you drove to the conference, and are willing to hang on till the end, we may be sending you home with some presents!
What’s for lunch? - Saturday’s lunch will be from Hutchins BBQ, because you can’t come to Texas and not
have BBQ! We’ll enjoy prime brisket, pulled pork, chicken, baked pinto beans, broccoli salad, and baked potatoes.
See you soon! In Christ, Josh Bowman P.S. During the conference, the best way to reach me (Josh Bowman) is
via email at ciceroniansociety@gmail.com or to call/text to (734) 265-0149.
Sharing Rooms, Rides, and Contact Info As an all-volunteer organization, we have yet to find an efficient, safe, and affordable way to help facilitate room and ride sharing for attendees. This year
is no exception, and we are very open to suggestions and ideas. As it is, you’ll probably want to use Uber, Lyft or rent a car. Or you can Click here for a list of attendees who have permitted us to share their name and email and try and reach out to folks you already know. And if you’re willing to give folks a ride, maybe wait around in the two hotel lobbies, and consider printing and holding up this sign and see if anyone takes you up on it! If you get stuck at an airport or hotel and need help getting where you need to go, you
can send a quick message to ciceroniansociety@gmail.com or call/text us at (734) 265-0149. We’ll do our best to help you if we can. Once the conference gets going, you’ll hopefully make connections for ride sharing for the rest of the event.
