Ciceronian Conference - Day 2 Updates

Good morning friends!

Having fun? I had a great time on Day 1 and am so grateful to have met many of you for the first time. We'll keep 'er moving on this first day of March with a few important updates and changes:

8:30am for morning prayer (we don't need to meet at 8am)
Due to possible technological issues, we may need to move some panels out of Room C. Please keep an eye out for those shifts. For example:
Room Switch: Session 4A: History, Tradition, and Rights will now be in Conference Room C. Session 4C: The Artist's Role in Society will be in Conference Room A.

What’s for lunch?

Friday’s lunch will be from Taziki’s Mediterranean Cafe. We’ll enjoy salmon, rice, veggies, and hummus....and hopefully far fewer leftovers.

Sharing Rooms, Rides, and Contact Info

As an all-volunteer organization, we have yet to find an efficient, safe, and affordable way to help facilitate room and ride sharing for attendees. This year is no exception, and we are very open to suggestions and ideas. As it is, you’ll probably want to use Uber, Lyft or rent a car.

And if you’re willing to give folks a ride, maybe wait around in the two hotel lobbies, and consider printing and holding up this sign and see if anyone takes you up on it!

Once the conference gets going, you’ll hopefully make connections for ride sharing for the rest of the event.

Prayer Time

Anyone is welcome to join us at 8:30 am on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at the Hope Center in conference room A for an abridged version of Morning Prayer as found in the Book of Common Prayer (2019, ACNA). All are welcome.

The Hospitality Suites

This year, we are fortunate to have TWO hospitality suites at our respective hotels. Registered attendees 21 and older can enjoy alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in the company of fellow attendees for extended informal discussion.

Meeting rooms in each of the conference hotels will be open from 8pm - 11:30pm for this hospitality on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The Ciceronian Society will provide snacks, cups, non-alcoholic drinks and mixers, and some limited amounts of alcohol, attendees are welcome and encouraged to bring some other beverages of their choice.

Coffee, water, tea, and light snacks are available throughout the conference. Lunch is catered and dinner is at the discretion of attendees.
